About the Client
Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), established in 1990, is the Principal Financial Institution dedicated to promoting, financing, and developing the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector. SIDBI plays a crucial role in enhancing credit flow and addressing financial and developmental gaps within the MSME ecosystem.
The Problem
SIDBI operated with large volumes of paper-based documents spread across multiple branches. Managing loan applications, financial records, and internal memos in physical form led to inefficiencies, delays, and space constraints. There was a growing need for quick document retrieval, better storage solutions, and streamlined loan processing. Additionally, the organization required secure access controls, audit trails, and disaster recovery measures to support business continuity.

SIDBI aimed to implement a centralized and secure Document Management System to:

Computhink’s Approach
Computhink won the national bid to deploy Contentverse for 1200 users across 20 departments. The project began in April 2018 with detailed requirement gathering, followed by a pilot rollout. Based on SIDBI’s feedback, the system was customized with features such as OTP-based authentication, bilingual workflows, and disaster recovery protocols. All physical records were scanned and digitized to create a centralized, searchable repository with seamless access.
