The Most Interesting Places to Access Your Content
Content management software allows you to access your files from anywhere… except prison, of course. This allows you to stay ahead of the game and opens up some rather interesting opportunities for getting work done. What are some of the most interesting places to access your content from, you may have just asked in your head?
On a plane
Major airlines like Southwest Airlines, Air Canada, British Airways and United all offer some sort of WiFi. Virgin America actually offers WiFi on 100% of its flights. Although we are several years away from WiFi being a standard feature on most airlines, you can still take advantage of it on select flights, and get some serious work done with remote file access via content management software. No longer do you have to look at flight delays as a huge obstacle. Just sit back and get some work done. Nap when you land.
In Space
Speaking of Virgin Airlines, they are offering individuals with heavy wallets the opportunity to travel into space. Virgin Galactic is working to provide space tourism in the future, with founder Richard Branson planning to be aboard the first public flight on December 25th, 2013. If they can get you into space eventually, I doubt WiFi capabilities are much of an issue for Virgin’s engineers. Imagine being the first person to use content management software from space! Your boss will probably be impressed.
On vacation
You may be asking, “Why the heck would I want to access my files when on vacation?” Well, anyone with extensive work experience knows that an issue can pop up anytime, even when you’re on vacation. This prospect can inject some unneeded anxiety when you’re lounging on the beach, trying to enjoy the tranquil sound of waves and seagulls. Knowing that you can access your files from your hotel room or even the beach, ensures that even if a surprise malfunction does pop up, you’ll be prepared to remedy it. This also allows you to inform clients that you can access their materials 24/7, from anywhere.
In the library
This may sound like a dull place to access your files from, but envision this scenario: When you don’t have electronic document management, your computer falls on the ground and breaks. When your computer breaks, you lose all your files. When you lose all your files, you have an assignment due tomorrow. When you cant finish that assignment, you have to think of an excuse. When you think of an excuse, you tell your boss your dog ate it. When you tell your boss that your dog ate it, you lose your job. Don’t lose your job. Get Contentverse.
Contentverse’s content management software allows documents to be saved online, so you never have to worry about how your hard drive’s health impacting your job security. Just go to the library, pull up all your files, finish your assignment and get another computer. At least with content management software, you can do it on your own time.
During a Meeting
One of the most useful aspects of remote file access is the ability to improve client relations. When making a presentation, many things have the potential to go wrong; from forgetting a document to a file not loading. With content management software, all files are accessible from any computer. So regardless of whether it’s a computer-related malfunction or you simply forgot the file, content management makes meetings significantly better by making your files accessible anywhere.
